7. I'm feeling pretty good, actually.
Last night was difficult at times, because night time was when I smoked the most. But I held on. I am using the Commit lozenges, but have not had to use many at all. And physically, just in 24 hours I can feel a difference.

Thanks, LM!

22. That's been me for the longest.
The other day, though, I started getting the feeling that I wanted to quit, and it kept getting stronger. So on my way home from an appointment on Friday, I stopped at the drug store, got some Commit lozenges AND a pack of cigarettes. I said, when I finish this pack, that's it. And I finished it yesterday, and haven't had a cig since.

67. Get yourself a cigarette money jar
That's what I did when I quit. I put all my money that I didn't spend on cigarettes in the jar for a year. I took a nice vacation, wearing some new clothes, with money that would have gone up in smoke.

I smoked for almost 30 years. I decided I wasn't going to enter this century smoking. So it's been 6 years, 7 months & 10 days for me.

78. If you tried to quit before
and you feel a lot more comfortable with it this time, that means this is the time you'll succeed. Happened to me. I smoked close to 3 packs a day, and had a godawful time trying to quit, until 12 years ago, I had an easier time with it, and haven't smoked since. I believe there are certain "windows" in which it's easier to quit. Best of luck to you, and be strong!

the other biggies are

Day 3

Day 10 -once you get into double digits you won't want to "give up those days"

and so on.

I am about 3 weeks away from a full year after 22 years of a pack a day smoking.

Great news, well done.

86. Great job!
Just don't get hooked in the lozenges....I quit smoking 5 years ago with the gum--and now I'm addicted to the gum! :-(

Anyway, congratulations! :bounce:

87. Hey vikegirl!
I actually haven't had to use a lot of the lozenges, but I get your point. And good on you for being smoke-free for 5 years (I dare say the gum is far better than a burning cigarette in your mouth!)

:bounce:
