It was called Open All Night, about a convenience store in the desert. It ran in 1981, I think. It was the funniest thing I ever saw but didn't make it past the first season. I have yet to run across anyone else who remembers it.

It was a sitcom on ABC in the late nineties. It lasted, unfortunately, only a season. Alan Ball, who created "Six Feet Under" created this one. I liked it a lot.
