A conundrum----I've been sabotaging myself
Edited on Mon Jul-10-06 12:22 PM by leftofthedial
Subtly and subconsciously trying to ensure that I fail

BUT

Because I have succeeded so well at that, I have failed miserably at everything important.

But wait! That means I have really succeeded! At trying to fail.

AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggh!

I feel like such a failure!

1. Orwell said somethign abotu that
But an effect can become a cause, reinforcing the original cause and producing the same effect in an intensified form, and so on indefinitely. A man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure, and then fail all the more completely because he drinks.

3. I will quote Bob Newhart...
When he appeared on MadTv, as a psychiatrist. He was evaluating a woman who became terrified at the thought of being buried alive. She was also very neurotic and high strung. He told her he had some advice for her. It's very simple advice.

STOP IT!

just...

STOP IT!
