Should Vitamin E smell funny in the bottle?

I just opened a new bottle of Vit E and it has a slightly fishy smell. I've never noticed if Vit E had a smell before and I wonder if anyone has ever noticed this.
Should I just toss it out? I don't have the receipt for it to return it.

While I can't imagine how a preservative went bad, why risk it?

Vitamin E has a smell to it. I've always likened it to a weird chocolatey smell myself.
