Thanks Loungers. I didn't send that letter to my friend
Some of you may remember that yesterday I posted asking for advice about a letter I was going to give my friend who had been in from out of town and I felt had snubbed me.

Well, thanks to the sage advice I received here in the lounge I didn't give her that letter yesterday at our get together, I even used Rabrrrrr's suggestion on what to say. We had a very nice long talk on the phone this morning and she mentioned her mom was taking her to the airport today. Her mom is 78 and has had 2 accidents in the past few months, not good for her to try to negotiate O'Hare. I volunteered to drive her, she accepted and we did finally get some personal time. I just got back from the airport! :D

Everything is hunky dory and I really could have done great damage to a wonderful relationship. You have no idea how glad I am now that I posted that yesterday.

Therefore I want to give a great big

THANKS!!!!!!!!!

to all who helped me out.

I love this place!

1. Good! I'm glad it worked out OK
And I'm glad you didn't give her the letter. Sometimes, though, you need to write it and get it off your chest.

You can trust us, we're usually pretty good :)

Khash.

4. When I read your post yesterday
I thought, she would react exactly the same way and think the same way of the letter, melodramatic, needy, etc. Thanks again.

I did need to vent and glad I did it here fist.

6. Good for you ! I always told my kids
to NEVER EVER write something that they would not mind having read aloud in front of Grandma or the object of the letter/note..or see on the front page of the paper... and to never say anything before they realized that the person they SAY it to will NEVER EVER forget they said it..

My sons grew up very well and have no enemies:)..even old girlfriends speak highly of them :)
