1. The Exploding Technicolor Foreskin.
I saw them in concert, once, back in 1971. They weren't half bad if you took the brown acid. But Mel Fishman's 7 hour organ solo got really boring after the first five and a half hours.

And, I suppose, the exploding foreskin.

they are certainly the most over-rated. A few good songs once every decade or so does not equal greatness to me.

29. Yes.
Why does the vocalist have to grunt and grind on his vocal folds? He even grunts through sappy ballads.

Plus, what the heck is a "nickel back" anyway? Were they originally called "Nickel Bag"? Maybe their record label said, no, you can't name your band after a drug reference.

32. The true story of the Nickelback name! It's great!
The singer said that they used to charge a nickel for their shows and people would ask for their "nickel back". I don't know if it's true or not, but apparently even the band itself knows that they suck.

as a fifth defensive linebacker. Why a Canadian band would choose that name, I do not know.

I thought the guy's voice sucked. The only decent thing he did was with Carlos Santana, and that is because Santana wrote the song.

Yes, Roger Waters and David Gilmour were Ambien: The Band. With Barrett at front, though, they did some strange stuff. Unfortunately, Barrett's dead, as I'm sure you'll see in another thread.

40. The Eagles
Edited on Tue Jul-11-06 07:20 AM by RedStateShame
They ruined rock & roll by making overproduced, castrated, wishy-washy shit for Baby Boomers, and, somehow, they managed to also ruin country music by convincing the industry to sound like that as well. My only moral dilemma is whether to piss or dance on Don Henley's grave.

Now that I said I'll do it, people might be watching, and I can't go if people are watching. If it would be less offensive, though, I'd be more than happy to move to Glenn Frey's eventual resting place.

"Why won't people buy my cereal?"
"Maybe you shouldn't call it crappie".

Yeah, my BIL's band got screwed over in
a big way. Now they self-publish and
are doing pretty well locally. He's
done a couple of musical scores for some
B horror movies (the ones his fiance
was conveniently in) and a big name studio
is interested in having him score a movie.
All in all, it may have been a good thing.
