... gay people. I just finished watching the Big Gay Al/mountain scouts episode of South Park, and I agree.

In real life, the boy scouts are a private organization, right?

And a private organization should have a right to admit and refuse whomever they want, right?

And its not like the boy scouts receive any PUBLIC FUNDS or TAX DOLLARS, right?

1. The Boy Scouts are heavily subsidized by the government.

Plus, even private organizations would find it hard to defend blatantly discriminating against other minorities in employment situations.

I know you were being facetious, but this is yet another example of how short-sighted South Park can be.

Penn and Teller have a far more accurate show on the Boy Scouts.

2. They get the use of part of Balboa Park and only pay the city of San Diego

something like $1 per year for it, for exclusive rights to a piece of public land in the park, that the public can't go onto. That constitutes a public subsidy, in my opinion.
