Friend had chances to take out two top Scientology nuts, but..
...he didn't. :( A good friend of mine and hubby's lives in the Northeast, and last night hubby was talking to him. He reminded us that he almost ran over Tom Cruise---and he didn't do it! Our friend's repsonsible for the Scientology madness today! :grr: The story is this: Tom and Nicole bought a house on the same road as where our friend lives. Tom was standing out in the middle of the road like a schmuck admiring his new house. It's a two-lane road but is kind of busy. Our friend comes around the curve, and there's Tom, standing in the road like a deer caught in the headlights. Friend honks, screeches on the brakes, and has to swerve to miss him---and is trying to keep his girlfriend from jumping out of the car to meet Tom, all at the same time. Friend looks back in the rear view mirror, and Tom's yelling and shaking his fist and running after him (but he obviously can't keep up with the car... LOL!).

Other case in point: When this same friend was in high school, he got locked out of his house and had to go across the street to the neighbor's house to use the phone to call his parents. While he was waiting for Mom and Dad, he played football in the yard with the neighbor kid. He beaned the kid accidentally with the football and left a huge bruise on his face. Guess who the neighbor kid was? John Freakin' Travolta. Yep. :wow:

If only our friend had had a better aim in both cases, we wouldn't have the Scientology insanity we have today. :yoiks:

4. You got it!
We told our friend last night that he could have saved the world a lot of trouble if he'd just had better aim... Kirstie Alley is on the list, though, and he'd be glad to get rid of her if she's standing out in the road or playing football... :P

3. Remind your friend that karma's a bitch
In his next life, he's going to suffer permanent post-partum depression and be forced to memorize Dianetics.
