1. Of America’s fifty state governors, whom (besides your own) do you most admire, and why? Well, my own is functionally retarded, but I don't really know enough about other states' politics to give a good answer. Elliot Spitzer, once he gets the job in New York. That's my answer.

2. What were you doing on December 31, 2005, at 11:59 PM? I think I was on the phone with flvegan. Either that or I'd gone to bed already.

3. Which US senator do you most admire (besides your own), and why? Santorum! Okay, I'm kidding. I have the best senator in the universe in Barbara Boxer, but Russ Feingold seems like a good one.

4. What was the last sporting event you attended? I actually got to see the 49ers win one last season. Since they only managed twice, that's good fortune indeed.

5. In what ways have you helped Democrats win in 2006? http://journals.democraticunderground.com/ih8thegop/55 I'll probably be a poll worker again and work to keep things fair and running smoothly. Other than that, I mostly just do my best to keep the people I talk to informed on political issues and trust they'll make good decisions. Perhaps that's a bit naieve.

6. Were you, or anyone you know, born on a holiday? Does your birthday sometimes fall on a ‘movable’ holiday (e.g. Thanksgiving or Easter)? My birthday is St Patrick's Day. Mom worked in a bar and scheduled her c section for that day as her only way of not having to work it. My sister was born on labor day, though it doesn't always fall on her b'day.

7. What is one thing you would like to learn to do? I'd like to be better at fixing things.

8. Word association: what comes to mind when you hear the word Tower? The record store.

9. Do you swim? yes.

10. Who was president of your university or college at the time of your graduation? Or if you’re still in school, who is the president of your college now? I have no idea.

11. Jennifer Granholm: Hot, or just plain attractive? I'm not really into girls. I do have a crush on a certain represntative from Ohio.

1. Of America’s fifty state governors, whom (besides your own) do you most admire, and why?
Well, I certainly don't admire my own (Jeb). I really like Brian Schweitzer up in Montana.

2. What were you doing on December 31, 2005, at 11:59 PM?
Partying at a concert by The Roots, making out with my girlfriend, drinking heavily (and good fucking God, I can't believe some of you actually put "sleeping" or "watching TV" down -- get out more, people!)

3. Which US senator do you most admire (besides your own), and why?
Again, I really don't admire my own a whole helluva lot (Mel Martinez and Bill Nelson). I like Feingold.

4. What was the last sporting event you attended?
A Marlins game, IIRC

5. In what ways have you helped Democrats win in 2006?
I've done quite a bit of blogging (blogs.southflorida.com/citylink_dansweeney) and a bit of donating. As a journalist, I can't really do some things, like political volunteering or LTTEs.

6. Were you, or anyone you know, born on a holiday? Does your birthday sometimes fall on a ‘movable’ holiday (e.g. Thanksgiving or Easter)?
I wasn't, but I know plenty of people who were.

7. What is one thing you would like to learn to do?
Play the fiddle.

8. Word association: what comes to mind when you hear the word Tower?
power

9. Do you swim?
But of course

10. Who was president of your university or college at the time of your graduation? Or if you’re still in school, who is the president of your college now?
Who knows? Who cares?

11. Jennifer Granholm: Hot, or just plain attractive?
I'll go with option C: Old enough to be my mother, and therefore neither hot nor attractive.
