It is freaking HOT!!! And HUMID!!! |
|
Our 3rd floor apartment basically has zero insulation, so the air conditioner will only cool the place 20 degrees, if we're lucky. It was 95 in there when we got home from work. When we left this morning it was 78. I poured sweat all night long and every bone I've ever broken in my life hurts.
Argh! I hate summer!!!! Sorry - I just got bit by a fire ant while I was trying to feed a stray cat outside at work.

1. So sorry. My old house was the same way until I had it insulated. |

I hate summer to. Just finished cutting 3 lawns, mine and two neighbors, took all morning.
Living in Houston I have heat proofed myself, the only way to survive summer down here.

2. We have an attic crawspace in our closet |

I wonder if I'd get in trouble for putting insulation over our apartment? I'm in the heart of Dallas, so the DFW temps on the news come from DFW airport in the shade. We are completely surrounded by concrete. On cloudy days, it's much more comfortable inside.

3. You live in Dallas, it is so hot there. |
|
I had a job where I had drive there every two weeks, summer was hell.
I say go for the insulation, just sneak it in big plastic bags. You place will be so much cooler, just be careful how you walk up there, don't want to fall though the floor.
Dallas in summer, Houston is a good 10 degrees cooler.
