I had a strange dream and then Saddam captured |
|
I had a dream that I was an advisor to the Dean campaign. It was election day, 2004. I was canvassing people about their expectations and the GOP were upbeat and the Dems were down.
I saw James Carville. I overheard him saying "he's another Eisenhower." Although he didn't get into what that meant? I wasn't sure if he was referring to Bush or Dean.
Then I asked him flat out, "James, what are our chances today? Will we win, will we lose?"
He said, "all is lost. Another four years of Bush."
In my dream I started to cry and began pounding on the wall.
I never actually heard whether we did win or lose in the dream. Only the conversation with Carville.
But then I woke up. And turned on CNN. And voila, Saddam captured.
I've been pretty depressed all day.
Strange, but true.

3. “He is another Eisenhower” |
|
Is probably the key to this dream. But that would refer to Clark not Dean. Could it be that you foresee the Demos turning to Clark as the only hope to beat bush (Because of the perceived military success of capturing Saddam) only to louse to Bush once again?

And to have it the night before this Saddam thing. Take heart, and don't let your spark go out. We'll get these cretins out of office.
I had a dream a couple of nights ago, where all these big events that happened over the years flashed by (I can't remember exactly what they were, either, but they were ugly events that were stopped or abated because of political activism). Then a voice said, 'Now the last big thing that's left to accomplish is getting Bush out of office.' My dreams are only prophetic in a personal sense. I've had a lot of deja vu's in the past few years--or more accurately, the experience of dreams I had when I was young unfolding in reality, most especially when I am doing anything to oppose Bush policy, but this started happening about a year before Bush stole the White House. Who knows, though? I could be a little off my nut (but not dangerously so). Anyway, I never ponder that existential question anymore, 'What am I doing here?' I know. To help get Bush the hell out of power, so he won't help bring the human race to an early demise.
On edit: changed a phrase.

The other day, I was checking my e-mail. My teenage daughter was in the room with me.
I asked her if she would like to see a personal message from James Carville.
"No, Mom," she said. "He's married to the Dark Side."
"True," I said. "They even have kids."
"Oh, yuck!" she replied, and walked away.
Raised her well, didn't I? I am so proud of her. :loveya:

7. i agree w. eisenhower = clark interpretation |
|
First, dreams don't always come true. I have had "psychic" dreams, with a voice giving me explicit messages, and the dream did not come to pass. Recently, I was told in a dream that my friend was dead and his spirit was here to say good-bye. When I got hold of my friend a couple of days later, I learned that he had narrowly missed wrecking his car by falling asleep at the wheel...but he was certainly not dead and he did not come to tell me good-bye!
That said, if we want to interpret your dream as a possible future, you gotta figure "Eisenhower" is Clark. "He's another Eisenhower, all is lost, another four years of Bush," I would interpret that to mean that, in your dream, CLark was assassinated off-stage.
I don't see any linkage here to Saddam's capture. I see either a straightforward fear-type dream or a vision of a possible but not determined future. Either way, the prediction being made is that Clark would be killed.
I could be totally off-the-wall here but that's how I would interpret it.
