What I've been up to these last few months (self-aggrandizing pic)

Aside fromm working, looking for a better job--while tryng to finish my aster's, I've gotten in a surprisingly large amount of kayaking! That makes me happy.

Here is me botching a loop (sort of an aeiral sommersault) I got corkscrewed; I was trying to get the bow down straight, but I've got to say this probably makes a better picture.

I know my following around the lounge is a bit small, but some folks like the action shots. Here's is one of my favorites.

This was this last weekend--and I made some serious progress as a playboater--after being stalled at a plateau for a while.

I don't know if you saw my post a few weeks ago, but I recently moved into a home with no internet (I'm working on that) so I haven't been able to check in much.

6. What river are you on?

I worked as a raft guide on the Clark Fork, (in MT), last summer. This summer, I've been sticking to lakes mostly, but may be doing a 5 day trip down the Salmon with some friends.

This is actually the Chippewa river in Wisconsin during a dam release. Who knew ther was whitewater near Eau Claire? :shrugs:

Then I went to the Eric Jackson designed Wausau Whitewater park and hit my first cartwheels (still having trouble linking ends) and at least made t more than half way to a loop. I got the boat out of the water, but basically landed on my face, with no forward rotation.

Ah well, Rome wasn't built in a day....
