A black Jesus or Santa Clause
It's been a while but I remember a few folks getting upset over seeing either one.

1. I had one of my Santa Lap pictures taken with a black santa.
Really nice guy. I remember it well.

2. The same people that get offended by it are the same types...
...that always claim they have a monopoly on Christmas and Christianity. The reason it came up in my memory today was I'm researching the pro-rebel flag bunch. They're the ones who always say, "it's just a symbol", "what's the big deal?". Different subject with similarities. I recall a black church one time (in the 80's) was getting all kinds of violent threats because they had a mural of a black Jesus on the front of the church. They get highly offended if they think somebody is messing with their idols and symbols.

3. My dad used to fuck with my grandma by telling her that
when she died she was going to get to heaven and find out the God was really a black woman. My dad was an atheist, but he always enjoyed fucking with people.

4. Who says Jesus isn't black?
Given the part of the world he supposedly comes from, he's certainly not the lilly-white dude presented in most European paintings.

"Jesus had hair like wool and feet the color of brass"
--Revelations, chapter 1, verses 14 and 15
