Firefox Jumps To 13% Of Global Market Share
http://www.onestat.com/html/aboutus_pressbox44-mozilla-firefox-has-slightly-increased.html

]OneStat.com ( www.onestat.com ), the number one provider of real-time web analytics, today reported that Mozilla Firefox's browsers have a total global usage share of 12.93 percent. The total usage share of Mozilla Firefox increased 1.14 percent since May 2006. The total global usage share of Internet Explorer is 83.05 percent which is 2.12 percent less than at the of May.

"It seems that the global usage share of Mozilla Firefox starts to grow rapidly again after a period of no growth" said Niels Brinkman, co-founder of OneStat.com.

Interesting numbers in the per-country statistics too.

(And who the hell STILL uses Netscape?)

4. Years ago?

Like, when it was in alpha testing?

I have never, once, installed Firefox on a system and not have it work immediately, and that includes Linux, Mac, and Windoze systems all the way from 95 to XP.

3. I'm using Mozilla Suite...
the browser reports as 'Mozilla/Netscape 7.0', I think (so the Netscape numbers might actually be Mozilla users who aren't using Firefox).

5. Netscape actually has a new version ...

Codenamed Bloat 7.0, I think.

I kid, I kid.

I'd rather use an old version of Netscape than any version of IE.

I'm starting to feel like I'm risking my job due to Firefox. Our company "officially" supports IE and IE only. I've written memo after memo indicating what a bad idea this is, usually in the context of the latest and greatest "security" letter warning all us peons against the latest threat to IE and what to tell customers.

*I* tell customers to go to mozilla.org and download liberally.
