Oh No... Kasey Rogers Died Last Week...
... I just found out today. She was 80 years old and had suffered a stroke.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0736990/

Actress. Best known for her role as the second 'Louise Tate' on the television series "Bewitched." She was born Josie Imogene Rogers and moved with her family to California when she was 2. She would eventually change her name to Kasey. When she went to work for Paramount studios, her name was changed to Laura Elliott during her work there in the 1940s through '50s, but she went back to Kasey Rogers soon after leaving that studio.

While at Paramount she was seen in the films that include; "Special Agent," and "Samson and Delilah" in 1949, "Paid in Full" in 1950, and "Two Lost Worlds" in 1951. Also in 1951 she landed the role of 'Miriam,' Farley Granger's wife in the Alfred Hitchcock classic "Strangers on a Train." Throughout the 1950s she worked primarily on television. In 1964 she had a recurring role in the television drama "Peyton Place."

In 1966 she was asked to replace actress Irene Vernon in the role of 'Louise Tate.' After the show ended in 1972 she would continue to do guest spots. She retired in the 1980s to write crafts and interior design books based on Bewitched and for holidays.

She is also considered a pioneer in the sport of women's motocross racing, having created the first Women's Nationals in that sport in the early 1970s. After several cancer battles and a stroke Kasey passed away at age 80.

1. I have a funny story for you, arwalden.
I bought an electric, working typewriter on Ebay for my friend's little girl who has Down Syndrome because she loves to type.

I told her tonight on the phone that the buyer had shipped it and it should be here tomorrow and she said

...."Oh, my stars"

I immediately thought of you and your sig.

3. OMG...I'm watching "Bewitched" right now.
Wow. So, only Erin Murphy and Bernard Fox are the only surviving members of a wonderful televiion show still alive.

Thanks for the backround info. I didn't know that about Kasey Rogers. I just knew her from "Bewitched"

This is sad news.

4. Erin Murphy & Diane Murphy...
Edited on Wed Jul-12-06 06:51 PM by arwalden
For three years, twins Erin & Diane frequently swapped places for the role of Tabitha. After the first three years, the role was taken over exclusively by Erin Murphy. -- David Lawrence who played Adam is still alive, but faded into obscurity.

I've always liked Bernard Fox... he's now 79 years old (which seems strange because I always thought of him as being so OLD when he played Dr. Bombay.)

"Doctor Bombay, Doctor Bombay! Emergency... come right away!"

5. Dr. Bombay is still alive?
I, like you, thought he was old back then.

6. Thank you
I didn't know that about Erin and Diane Murphy. Of course it would make sense that they used twins...that's the policy for using children that age on television shows. And I think they only had Adam on for the last two seasons. I think.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw "The Mummy" with Brendan Fraser (besides seeing Brendan Fraser) and seeing...Bernard Fox!! It's cool that he's been getting work. :-)
