wow i might get a free house in orange county next summer
a friend of mine has a grandmother with a house that she owns completely...but she's having some psychiatric problems so sometime in the next year is going to be moving into a home...it's a 2 bedroom with an acre of property that my friend wants to turn into a giant vegetable garden...all i'd have to pay for is my share of utilities

i'd have to live in orange county, but it's 30 minutes south of long beach, i wouldn't even have to have a regular job, just do odd work here and there, enough for utilities and food, but even then, giant vegetable garden...

should i do it?

4. 30 minutes south of Long Beach?
Edited on Wed Jul-12-06 11:54 PM by EOO
That would put it in the Westminster / Cypress area, no? Not a bad place to live.

edit: I'm stupid, Cypress would be east. South would be more like the Irvine / Santa Ana area. My neck of the woods.

13. Ah.
The way you described your situation made it sound like there was a downside to the offer.

14. I have in-laws in that area....
personally, it's not my cup of tea. I always have an overwhelming sense of being in a completely artificial environment, like a movie set.

However, I'm guessing that you're young and single, so what the heck...go for it! 'Just don't burn any bridges to home.

Good luck and have fun!
