And how are Lil Monkey, Del and crew?

It's been 90° F. here the last few days, but we had a nice, longer thunderstorm last night, so it's much cooler this morning. *Whew!*

25. The animals are doing fine. Little Monkey is getting big, next week
I will take her to the vet to see if she is 2 lbs., if she is then her surgery will be soon. No kittens.

Ya'll are as hot there as here. This summer hasn't been that bad. Right now it is a nice cool 79, very cool outside.

I just get out in the heat, with my new hat. I don't like to get to used to AC, could loose it with a hurricane.

Does it always get that hot, 90 seems very hot for Europe.

26. We're having an unusually hot summer.
But it does get warm in this part of Switzerland, because the southern, Italian-speaking part where we live has more of a Mediterranean climate. The good news is that although we don't have air conditioning, we have two really nice, quiet oscillating fans that have saved our lives and sanity the past couple of hot summers. :)

28. My old house was built in 1930, so if I open the door a nice breeze
blows though the house, and with tall ceilings and a window fan I could make it without AC.

I was on a ladder and didn't cut the fan off first.

Maybe you could suggest paying someone to put one in and see what happens.

37. It isn't hard, I have watched my friend put them up.
You just have to make sure the power is off, and read the instructions.

I may try the next one, all I would have to do is take down the old one and put in the new one.

If you have a light fixture all ready, it doesn't take long.

I feel the same way about lighting the gas heater, don't like to do it.

They did a free show at a park here a few months ago (they're from my town, so they play small venues here from time to time, and do poetry readings and shit) but I didn't have a sitter or anybody to go with. :(

I saw Metallica with Guns and Roses at the Oakland Colliseum but that was a looooooooooooong time ago.

54. Arden's not too bad
since you can take Alta Arden to avoid the thick of it and El Camino runs paralell most of the way through town. Watt avenue, on the other hand, is nasty pretty much 24-7. There really needs to be a highway there, but I don't know how they'd build one through town. I read something in the Bee about putting a tunnel under it for faster through traffic, but what kind of hare-brained idea is building a multi-gazillion dollar tunnel in a flood plain?

Deep dark depression, excessive misery,
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all,
Gloom, dispair, and agony on me

Floogeldy started a thread that made me want to cry,
It reminded me of the kudzu thread, that had to go bye-bye,
Crazy G said there was no rhyme to lock it, nor no reason why,
Then EarlG said he had hoped that thread would just die

Gloom, dispair, and agony on me
