Did the Marines ever see combat in Europe or were thier actions confined to the Pacific?

unless you count the handful of Marines (around 50 or so) who were assigned to OSS and took part in OSS infiltration/sabotage missions in North Africa and Europe.

was one of them. He was also third wave on Iwo Jima (Had scars that looked like about a dozen extra belly buttons.... impressive to a kid at the beach) That will depend on if you see crete as part of europe africa or asia. No fighting in Europe though.....

Very limited Marine Corps activities in the ETO, and no major combat operations. In the First World War, though, there was a Marine Brigade with the AEF. They first gained fame fighting at Belleau Wood.
