This company's IT department is like The Land That Time Forgot. We've got people who have been here for 20 years, when the average length of time in a job is more like 2 years. Many of them learned programming here and this department has developed its own way of doing things, in splendid isolation from the rest of the world. That would be okay, except that some of our working practices are utterly boneheaded, but the established staff can't be persuaded of it.

24. I missed everyone! I have my first cup of coffee in hand ~ it's all good.

I won't be on line again until Sunday night. Phil is driving down to join us tonight and he doesn't like sharing my time with a computer. We're all going out fishing for the day tomorrow and for another eco tour by boat on Saturday. I should have hundreds of new wildlife and nature photos to share with DU when I get back to my main computer. I was photographing storm clouds over the Gulf a day or two ago but I've haven't gotten anything truly awesome yet.
