Late last night I broke my TV |
|
First I threw a brick through the screen, then I knocked it off the stand and jumped on it repeatedly until the case and all components were crushed to small pieces. Then I swept up the debris, sealed it in an environmentally-safe storage bag, and buried it in a deep, deep hole in an abandoned field behind the bowling alley.
I had no choice, really.
I accidentally viewed about 15 minutes of The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, a film so screechingly awful that I can't believe that Kevin Costner wasn't involved in it. After defiling my tv with this abominable pap, how could I permit its continued existence? Better to inter it away from human memory.
Who greenlighted this horrendous production? Is it faithful to the book? If so, then the presses on which it was printed should be burned to slag and perhaps recycled into something less harmful to the public good.

3. Oh man, you should have hung in a few minutes longer. The first quarter |
|
hour is just the build up to the hot lesbian sex scenes that are only briefly interrupted by the car chases, crashes and explosions. Give it another chance.

4. With all due respect to the actresses |
|
A steamy scene between Maggie Smith and Fionnula Flanagan doesn't greatly entice me. But an exploding car chase involving Sandra Bullock and Ashley Judd? Now that sounds like good watching!

6. The book was fun to read |
|
The movie totally sucked, and vaguely kept to the book, conveniently ommiting most of the best lines and story line sequences.

7. I hope you don't mind...I'm going to set the text of this post to music |

Probably a sort of I-IV-V blues progression. The "Late Last Night I Broke My TV Blues".

8. OMG! I work at Warner Bros. and I have had to sit through |
|
this pile of crap at least five times. I work in our feature mastering department as a sound editor and we do different versions for overseas, Direct TV, HBO, etc. Anytime I had this piece of sh*t on my schedule I begged my scheduler to please give it to someone else.
I think I would rather shove needles into my eyes then sit through this.
