Why the hell do SUV drivers slow to a creep for speed bumps?
I see it every day at work. I thought that SUVs were supposed to be bad-ass off-road vehicles, yet they can't handle a speed bump? I'll go twice as fast over them in my regular car.

2. They don't want to dislodge their cell phone, drink, lunch, book,
Ipod, or whatever else they may be paying attention to into the floor? Alos, most of them drive SUV's for their looks and not necessarily their performance capabilities that they aren't aware of what they can handle.

3. Very well put!
I've seen LOTS of SUV drivers that have no idea what to do behind the wheel of that large a vehicle.

4. Do all SUVs have real offroad capability anyway?
I do wonder if a lot of the newer ones are just for show.

I mean, Range Rovers and Toyota Landcruisers, everyone knows they are offroad vehicles. But a BMW X5? A Mercedes M Class? How many of them go off tarmac?

5. I think BMW tells you not to go off-road.
The small Mercedes SUV isn't supposed to go off-road, but the big one is supposed to be good off-road. I've off-roaded on a beach (legal for off-roading) in my Cherokee, but Jeeps are definitely off-road capable.

6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that some of the new SUV's
are not even 4WD anymore, especially the smaller models. Just big and expensive to drive.

7. I had heard (not from a reputable source)
that the BMW X5 is not a 4x4. Can't confirm that, but it wouldn't surprise me.

8. Oh, and of course there's the Porsche Cheyenne
500bhp, and 0-60 in 5 seconds. Yeah, that's really useful off road. :eyes:
