My husband's co-workers sent us a basket with all kinds of
goodies in it the other day. There was a tin of caviar that we decided to open and try.

In comes the 10 yo, the gourmand and says "I want to have some!". I ask her, do you know what caviar is?

"Sure, she says, fish eyes" and proceeds to eat an entire teaspoon before I can correct her. AFter I do, she just shrugs and eats more.

That kid is definitely a little off.

1. My dear Midlo!
Well, what 10 year old isn't a little off?

I actually think you should be happy she is willing to try new stuff....

And I'll just bet you are!

:hi:

2. Lol! Funny how that works, sometimes.
My older two kids will eat all kinds of things that I won't touch. Jack will too, if you count coins and toilet paper.

4. Most parents complain about the fussy eating habits of their kids...
Where DID you get her?

5. No kidding. She will eat or at least try anything
When she was 2, she devoured, I mean devoured an entire plate of calarmari that my brother had ordered in a restaurant. He had to order another plate.

6. I've watch the 5-year-old triplet boys eat calimari...
Since I had an unnatural fear of fried octupus under my bed as a kid :scared:, I won't go near the stuff, of course.

Perhaps their sophisticated taste comes of having a chef for a father.

8. My 6 yr old's favorite food is sushi
She also loves vegetables (!!) and she'll try just about anything as long as it's not too spicy. I bet she would like caviar too since she's a big fan of salty foods.
