I battled to the liquor store, got back and the bag ripped in the driveway of my apartment complex. A beautiful bottle of Corazon met it's untimely death that day. I damn nearly cried.

somewhere between phoenix, AZ and barstow, CA. that's a grainer car that i'm sitting on top of...it was a fun trip, took 28 hours in all.

i was riding on a junker car (a train full of mostly unused, old cars) that usually reaches maximum speeds of 45 mph...and given that it's a junker it has low priority, so it stops a lot, lets other, faster trains pass by, and just in general is a fairly slow ride...but it's fun and it's free and i'd prefer not to travel any other way...

Canon Digital Rebel XT...my stepdad's friend gave it to him because he upgraded, my stepdad doesn't understand it (total point&shoot guy) and so he passed it along to me. Not a bad deal.

Canon has a good reputation and I've found the more a digital camera looks like a real camera the better it usually is.

94. Yeah, well it's a digital SLR, about $1000 and it was just given away.

It can function fully manually and I can switch out the lenses for different purposes (I only have the stock lens currently). I'm pretty psyched to start playing with it.

104. it's a modeled landscape, rendered on my computer...

...to add the colors and textures, etc. The terrain was modeled with a program called World Machine and the landcape was rendered with Terragen. The actual render took about 12 hours at 3000 x 2250 pixels-- over 6 megapixels-- but this is a compressed image of a work in progress. The final render will be about three times that resolution-- photorealistic-- and will print at 24 inches x 18 inches or so. I'm still working on the sky and the lighting, mostly.
