Its my birthday and i'm bored and lonely!
On the bright side I just went out to buy myself new clothes for a trip to Italy.
But now i'm home alone.
Who else spends their birthdays alone? Got any tips on how I can have fun by myself? :D

Pity you've got nobody to wrap your package, but there's always a way to keep one's self occupied.

I usually watch "Futurama" on DVD...

 :toast: :hi:  :toast: :hi:

I spent my 30th birthday alone (it was okay - we had a party the next day), but anyway, I kinda enjoyed being alone with my bottle of wine and writing a journal. ya know, where I was in my life, where I thought I would be, etc. while listening to my favorite CD.

17. Thanks!
That sounds like alot of fun actually. I wouldn't really be too upset if I didn't actually have plans that were *supposed* to happen tonight, as i'm usually a 'loner' but its kind of upsetting when people have to cancel due to freak occurences that just have to happen on this one day of the year :(

I'm having fun on DU though!! Get to learn more about this here MacBook too.

Do something you want to do- anything
from lounging around to taking a nice walk,

Have a great time in Italy.

Are there any bands you like playing in the area at all? Going to a show is always fun, I go to them by myself a lot these days, and love it.

23. Happy Birthday, RedCappedBandit!
I'll be spending my 40th alone next month. It'll be the first one alone in quite a while.

I'm just going to do something quiet, that I want to do - go for a walk by the river, perhaps take in an art gallery or museum, and treat myself to dinner - and a calorie-laden dessert!

I appreciate your response very much!! But the fact of the matter is I am very drunk, and I am feeling very down.
heres my story.
I basically think my brother thinks very ill of me, yet I love my brother more than anyhting in the world. cant live with myself feeluing like this. Suire its the whiskey speaking, but at the same time this is how i feel very deep down. I tell ya, I get no respect!~ lol. I dont know what i do. I need some time to think to myself., Darn older brothers.

27. Have you talked to him about it?
Perhaps your perception and what he really thinks of you are two different things?

Are you the youngest?

I'm the youngest, almost 40, and all my older siblings (4) still think I'm about 7. I doubt that will ever change, they're sort of stuck in it. The family structure I came out of (but don't ascribe to, they do) is very hierarchical, so the oldest knows best, then the next...and I'm much younger than they are.

I used to get frustrated, now I realize it's never going to change. I don't know if you can relate to any of that .

Still, I would talk to him. Good luck! :hi:
