I can't remember my natural color, but after years of having it colored, processed, highlighted, bleached and burned, I am going back to something close to it. I have an appointment on saturday afternoon. The color I am shooting for is a chocolate brown, but I want it to be rich. But I will leave the details to the professionals, because I don't trust myself to paint my own toenails, much less do my hair color!
Wish me luck!

2. Be prepared, it will make you look.... |

YOUNGER!
I've noticed that when the women at work go from blonde or frosted whatever, they invariably look years younger.

I am just mostly tired of the upkeep---every four weeks to six weeks, and my eyebrows every two.
I am nervous and excited

15. It ends up being cheaper in the long run |

I can't make jello, so I could not see myself dying my hair. Also, my texture is kinda thin and it tends to be really fragile, so I would rather have someone who knows what they're doing!

8. Closest to your natural color always looks best. |
|
The one exception are dishwater blondes...they really do need highlights to look good.
But natural always goes best with your own coloring. I'm a brunette, and highlights of any color make me look worse (kinda sickly). I've learned to love my chestnut brown.

I actually have an acquaintance who is um...employed as a very expensive um...escort. She gets her carpet dyed as well. But hell, she makes almost half a million a year so who the hell am I to judge!:wow:

I agree with the above poster about natural hair color usually looking the best on people. I have often noticed bleached or highlighted blondes and wondering why the didn't just stick with their natural color. Going blonde still seems very common, though; it could be it's worse in my part of the country. That's cool to hear you're going brunette, though. I'm a big brunette fan myself; I'm the way about brunettes guys are "supposed to" be about blondes. (Although my un-scientific polling leads me to believe there are just as many brunette fans as there are blonde fans!)

It has never crossed my mind to go blonde. I am ghostly pale, so it wouldn't look good.
When I lived in Texas, I was amazed that everyone seemed to be the exact same shade of blonde.
