How many purses do you have? How big are they?
Edited on Fri Jul-14-06 10:35 AM by prolesunited
How often do you change them? What do you keep in it?

I'm not fussy at all. I have several, but I keep downsizing and rarely switch out. The current one is quite small and black with a brown alligator looking trim.

I have a little bitty change purse that easily fits in my bike's seat bag, a phone, my rescue inhaler, eye drops, chapstick, mints or cough drops and a couple of lipsticks. That's about all that fits, but just about all I need.

On edit: I forgot my keys!

1. Too many to count. Seriously.
I am a major bag 'ho. I buy Vera Bradley WAY too much. I also like Coach and Louis Vuitton.

4. Too many to count also, but they are all huge.
I carry just about everything I own in them.

6. Wow, you have good taste

I wouldn't spend more than $25 to $30 on something on sale, and even that I think is too much.

7. It's my one indulgence.
I don't need to dress for work, so my wardrobe is pretty casual and I wear flip flops because my feet hurt all the time, so no need to go shoe shopping.

The only stores I go to lately are Target, the grocery store and accents unlimited for Vera Bradley purses.

8. I wasn't trying to be critical
I'm just very cheap. But, if you want to talk about bikes and gear...

Everybody has their thing. I'm just not into fashion that much.

9. Oh, I know you weren't.
It does seem self indulgent, though.

And, in the interest of full disclosure, I like kitchen gadgets too, but I don't consider them for me, but for the house. (My family would differ)

3. a lot
it's embarrassing. Im a bag fiend. And they are all huge, heavy and loaded with everything known to man! I've been carrying huge purses since high school. It's worse since I had a kid.

5. ZERO.
I can't remember the last time I had a purse. If forced to carry one now I'd probably accidently set it down somewhere and never see it again.

10. Too many
All sizes and colors. I usually change my purse with the season. Over the summer I like using a white leather or a macrame-type purse.
I don't carry a lot of stuff with me... just a wallet, tissues, keys, a little bit of makeup, sunglasses.
And I have a hard time getting rid of old purses. That's why I have so many.

11. 1...kinda big
It holds my wallet/checkbook, phone, keys, CD player w/headphones, batteries, pens, OTC pain meds, lipstick, chapstick, tampons, and various assorted, mostly crap.

I use the same one purse every season whether it matches my clothes or not. It's a Ralph Lauren that I got at Ross for about $26.

12. I have too many, all shapes and sizes.
I change them depending on where I'm going, what I'm doing. I have a bad habit of switching and leaving inconsequential stuff behind; so most have something in them, lol.

14. I was a Girl Scout
and our motto is: Be Prepared.

For YEARS I've carried a Rucksack that contains EVERYTHING I imagine someone or I might need in a pinch.

Sewing kit (inc. black safety pins as one never knows about those evening gowns... and YES they have saved the night)
Flashlight
AA batteries
Swiss Army knife
Taschentücher (Mothers with small kids are ALWAYS grateful)
First-Aid kit (inc. antihistamine which once saved little Julie much suffering)
Rain poncho
Several pairs of glasses (bifocals are a SCAM!)
Pocket computer dictionary
Bike stem repair kit
Pens, pencils, eraser
Calculator
Cigarette papers (GREAT for extracting water from oboe keys and...)
Manuscript paper
Ruler (inches AND millimeters)
Fisherman's Friend (Tic-tac is for WIMPS)

My long time friends have gone from, "Why the hell is that thing so heavy?" to "Ask Karenina, I'm SURE she has a band-aid."

15. A bunch. But I usually carry a backpack.
Resale shops are a good source for purses. Designer models & those pretty evening bags--they look good in the dressing area, even if I rarely have occasion to use them.

In the backpack: Cosmetic bag, pen & tool bag, collapsible umbrella, cell phone, wallet & something to read.

18. If I'm going into the city
or on a daytrip, I always carry a backpack, too. I add water, an energy bar and maybe some fruit, my iPod, reading material and usually my camera.

16. I have two purses, both kinda small. One I carry to work because
I seem to need more stuff at work, and one I shove a little money, keys and sunglasses in for weekend use when I can get by with less stuff.
