Pauly Shore must be stricken from the spacetime continuum
Nothing, and I mean nothing can justify his continued presence in the universe.

Last week, TBS ran Encino Man, Son In Law, and In The Army Now back-to-back and at least two times each! This is at least the second time that this travesty has occurred.

1. Pauly Shore, I am told from people who know him, is a great guy
And funny in person - it just doesnt translate on camera

That's why he gets so many chances - a new director will meet him, think "damn hes funny" and then on camera it just doesnt work out right...

3. Okay, then his celluloid incarnation must be eliminated
Pauly Shore the actual person can be permitted to exist, as long as he doesn't draw attention to himself.

2. And please tie Adam Sandler and David Schwimmer to him when he's punted.

8. I don't know about that
Although David Schwimmer has done a few corny movies, he's gotten away from that cornball movie every season like you get from the likes of Adam Sandler. If anything, I think Schwimmer is getting back more to the theater and art house movies then bad yuck-fests. I guess he wants to distance himself from his Friend's alter-ego.

BTW, I adored Schwimmer with this guest appearance in "Curb Your Enthusiam" where he was Larry David's co-star in "The Producers".

4. Iam ruined on Brendan Fraser forever, after the travesty that was "Encino
Man." I blame Shore in large part.

6. "George of the Jungle" and "Dudley Dooright" share some blame
Fraser is actually a good actor, but he's been cast in some real stinkers--some of which have, unfortunately, enjoyed box office success and given the impression that they weren't awful.

But he was great in "Gods and Monsters" and "The Passion of Darkly Noon." I seem to recall enjoying his performance in "School Ties," but I haven't seen it in years and years.

5. I don't care what anyone says - if Son-in-Law is on TV and I find it
I kick back, open a beer and enjoy a really great laugh. To be honest - Pauly Shore did 2 really great, very funny movies with SiL and Encino Man. After that it was way way way downhill

9. I find Son In Law to be pretty funny, too.
It's stupid, sure - but it's SUPPOSED to be stupid! That's the whole fun of it!
