need some help...going to confront hubby who has begun drinking too much

10. yes indeed -- go to al-anon.

it's just not easy -- and it is a disease -- very much in the classic sense.

it's genetic and progressive.

the problem is you can't take a pill or have an operation for it.

7. You can't make him quit if he's not ready.

It's hard not to beat yourself up over that, but it's true.

8. I can certainly vouch for that. If he ain't ready, you can threaten him

with just about anything and not a damn thing will matter. That alcohol is one bad mutha.

9. Alcohol is radioactive. It sickens anyone in range.

The drinking is his problem. He will have to deal with it. Keep yourself and your kids intact until and unless he deals with it. Don't let his illness become yours, no matter what.
