Welcome to the Saturday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: The weekend is here! :woohoo: I hope you had a good work week and you have some plans for rest and relaxation the next two days! I have to work today (typical. x( :rofl:) but I'm off tomorrow, so I'm going to take it easy and have some fun. But, I do have to go to the freaking laundromat, so there's two hours gone from my day already.

Do you ever sell on eBay? I have quite a bit, and last night I posted a thread giving some important information about selling (it promptly dropped like a stone) that I've learned from my experiences and those of other sellers. I posted it to my Journal, so if you are a seller on eBay or are thinking about starting to sell, there is a lot of good information you should know!

Greekspeak and his dad are still in Indiana, though quite a bit further along. They got a little lost yesterday and had to call me to direct them to their next stop! :rofl: Not that I'm laughing TOO much...I know how frustrating it is to get turned around and not know where in hells you are and where to go. They're having a good time other than that incident!

I'm not happy that it's Saturday already. It's harleydad's last day here until who-knows-when. :cry: We were going to visit the horses today, but it's going to rain and we have a ton of stuff to do. So we'll be doing that ton of stuff. :shrug:

On a good note, we signed our contract with the builder yesterday. :woohoo: It's official now -- they're going to build us a house! :bounce:

I read your eBay post just now and found it very helpful. Sorry you didn't get any responses. People must just be away for the weekend. :shrug:

And yes, they were lucky to have me yesterday! They were out in the middle of NOWHERE and had no hope of finding their way out. So, Google Earth and I got them out! :rofl:

So I'm not surprised. The big question is when they'll let him come back. It makes it a little hard to enjoy the week when we know it's such a short time and don't know when the next one will be. :cry:

I know what you mean. I haven't started a thread lately but I seem to be on ignore when I post otherwise ... except for your threads. If I'd been here when you posted yours, I sure would have replied! :hug:

We went to Johnson City to meet the kids for supper last night and took a different route. I was JUST about to call harleykid for directions when I recognized where we were. I think we took the long way around, but we did avoid going on the highway. I just remembered a time when we were in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night and low on gas. We were literally running on vapors ... and no Google Earth or cell phone. I was scared half out of my mind! :scared: That was a LONG time ago.

And our 30th anniversary is next month. I sure hope we can spend it together. The kids want to send us to a professional photographer ... it's been too long since we've had our pictures taken together. It'll be a good time, if it happens.

I don't sell on eBay because I never had enough nerve. I do a lot of buying, though. I know that doesn't count ... but I do have 100% feedback. My sister has sold a few things and had some bad experiences with buyers.

I could get lost in a minute around here. AAA sent me a pile of maps, though, so I'll be putting them in my car. I can always call harleykid if I can't figure out where I am. Oh, yeah, the car we were driving back then got about 10 mpg on a good day (but it drank even more oil). We were sure glad to find the highway again and fill the tank up!

You just have to be sure you dot all your "i"'s and cross all your "t"'s when you sell. There's a LOT of things that can go wrong and you have to protect yourself. Buyers can really screw you over if you let them.

That always got me. You get a day off and it's work - just in another location. Well, maybe if you buy a home, you can get them to throw in a washer/dryer. That'll help. Got most of my yearly check-ups done this week. Looks like way too many condos for sale around here. Read an article where they converted back to apts and one of the buyers is really angry. Rents have gone through the roof.

I saw your message last night. I kinda gave on ebay. Fees didn't make it worth it as a seller and shipping didn't make it worth it as a buyer. I have some stuff to get rid of though, so maybe I'll get back into it. I'm pretty good. I'm taking a city cycling class today. Looking forward to it, but it's going to be 95 degrees. Not looking forward to that part.

No, I wouldn't enjoy biking in 95 degree heat either. That's a good recipe for heat exhaustion. If you go, be sure to drink lots of water!

You can make money on eBay...but it's not easy and you have to take into account all your fees and things. If you decide to start selling some of your things and you have questions, let me know! :hug:
