Gotta rant about my satellite TV.
There is a storm moving in and I have not had any decent reception for the past 2 hours. The stations go off and one. This really pisses me off and I constantly complain to Dish Network about it and demand a rebate for the time that I have not had any reception. But I never get any satisfaction from them. Don't even suggest cable because I was going to go with Comcast and set up an appointment for installation and was told that the technician would be at my house at noon. So I took the day off work and guy did not show. Finally, I received a call that he would be here at 6 p.m. I told them to shove it because I had been waiting all day.

1. I've never had that problem at all.
I have DirecTV though. Do you have any trees or anything that could be messing up line of sight during storms? Does your dish need adjusting? It really shouldn't cut out except if there's snow on the dish or extrordinarilly heavy rain. (Actually mine has never cut out due to rain, even during flood season.)

2. Ennh... Same thing happens here... ya learn to live with it.
It only happens during the worst rain storms (but more so when they are approaching and not so much when the storms actually arrive). However... all things considered, the occasional infrequent loss of my DirecTV signal caused by heavy storms happens MUCH LESS OFTEN (and ends much faster) than the regular unexplained outages when I was a Comcast subscriber.

3. I have learned to live with it, but it sure can be a pain.
The storm has come and gone and I still don't have any reception. Oh wait, I can't get reception on the movie channel that I was watching, but CNN is coming in loud and clear. Go figure. Well, at least I have a bunch of DVDs to watch.
