8. It's one of those big red mushrooms but it had been quite nibbled on.

The woods around me have been popping up with all sorts of nifty looking fungi lately, even these cool looking blaze orange mini-shrooms. The dampness also seems to be resulting in an amphibian explosion around the house.

The second one is rain. I kind of wish it was frost. It was 85 today, but it's supposed to be in the high 90s here with a couple 100 degree days this week. Plus high humidity. If I wanted it to be 100 degrees and humid, I'd live in the south. I do not live in the south nor do I ever want to live in the south.

I love "Alice" too. Decades ago in college I was briefly editor of my college newspaper and our logo was the caterpiller smoking a hookah saying "I have something important to say..." Its one of my very favorite quotes, and-to me-it seems to fit you.

I've never been the sort of person who had a lot of activities outside the home.......

Even when I was working, I just concentrated on that....

My family isn't close by, and so there aren't a lot of things going on there....

I have always had a quiet sheltered life...
