18. Alzhiemer's is very hard for the family...I wish you the very best...
One thing I can tell you, though. Trust me, you'll carry her with you always. Its been seven years since my mom passed away but she is still very much with me. Hell, I couldn't get rid of her if I tried. She "programmed" me back in the '50's before anyone even knew what "programming " was.

And the smile, thats yours forever. Thank God, no one can take the memory away.

God bless.

19. Bless you Poiuyt.
My grandmother passed in 2000 from Alzheimer's, so my heart goes out to you.

When you are emotionally able, you might want to check out a Dixie Chicks song called "Silent House". It is about someone losing a loved one to Alzheimer's, it is touching and inspiring.

40. So sorry
My Mom passed away four years ago after a merciful short (2 months) bout with cancer. She was 76 and my brother and I were at her bedside holding her hands when she passed.

It's hard, real hard, but I'm grateful that there were no issues left between us. My father died suddenly eleven years ago and there were no issues between us either.

Love the ones you love while they're her 'cause life is short.

I would give everything I have to just spend one more day with either of them.

Momma always said death is a part of life. Yeah, the part really sucks.

I lost my niece last fall. She was 27. That one really hurt. I assumed I would outlive my parents but not someone half my age. Anorexia nervosa, if anytone is interested. She basically starved herself to death. We all did everything we could, her Mom especially, but that is one fucked up disease/disorder.

I guess it's something we are all going to have experience at some point.

I don't know if it's because my dad wasn't really a major part of my life when I was growing up, but I think of the parents, losing a mom must be the most difficult one to lose.

May her memory be for a blessing. She lives on in the stories you share with her grandchildren.
