My Brother: "Dude why do you always use 'Big Words' when you talk!" |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 02:45 PM by sasquatch
Me: "What the hell are you talking about?" Brother: "Dude you use words now that nobody knows what they mean whenever you talk about something." Me: "Dude, 'Cop Out' is not a big word!" Brother: "Yeah it is, you used a big word last week too! What do you do read a dictionary everynight!? What was that word you used last week?" Me: "Carte Blanche" Brother: "Yeah that's it." :eyes: I then went into another room and watched the "Velluchi Papers" while he sat next to his pregnant wife knowing that the kid will probably be cuter than a button, but dumber than a rock. :( I think I should call DCF so the kid will be taken away and will have a chance in this world. On Edit: Spelling, I'm very poor speller in French.

9. It's "carte blanche" (i.e., a blank ticket - think "blank check") |
|
You didn't misspell it. You mispronounced it. Lucky your brother doesn't like big words.

20. With practice, you could learn to talk to him in words of one syllable. |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 04:28 PM by struggle4progress
For added effect you could talk slowly and a little louder than necessary.
Then when he finally got sick of this and complained, you could explode that he don't like you to use big words, he don't like you to use small words, there's no way to keep him happy

I can never understand our loved ones PUTTING US down when we should always be encouraged to improve ourselves. Assholes everywhere, and many hid that assholiness till its almost too late.

Don't know how to say it, but I like it. Isn't that one of those "Big Words"? :D
But seriously, I really don't understand assholes in general, I mean, hell, I'm the type of guy who prefers a woman who can use big words. I get complaints about my use of big words all the time, I have even been told the EXACT same thing your ex said to you.

I was talking about a dictionary (I think the specific topic was Noah Webster) and a girl in my history class interrupted me and said the same thing-- "Stop using those big words!"
Oh please...
