And I have nothing positive to say about the people I observed. And since I shouldn't care about how they conduct their lives, I won't say it. But people sure are sad dumb...

5. I keep a couple of coolers in my trunk for stashing groceries in this kind

of heat...I live about 17 miles out in the country, and can't afford to have food go all mushy on me en route home. I put some of those little blue ice thingies in them before I head to town, or else buy some ice to put in them for the trip home; then stash meat, frozen stuff, etc. in them on the way home.
I also find it can really help to double-paper bag stuff (I bring my own back to the store, so I am not wasting more paper...drives me nuts...)

I did manage to save 60% of the ice cream, so it's not a terrible loss. Only $1.45 loss. :)

7. I just saw a gizmo advertised on MSNBC...

...that is a little solar-powered fan that fits over your car window and then you roll up the window, and it allegedly keeps the car interior cool while it's closed up by blowing the hot air out. Nifty, and I think it was only $14.95.
