Hey! Guess what? GrumpyGirl (or wannabegrumpy as she uses
to sneak around on here) has a level 1 driver's license! Just in time for me to puncture my foot!

So, I'm going to have her drive me to Kroger...only, I'm too lazy to get up and go...

...I need your help. What shall we have for dinner on a hot, HUMID evening? I don't want to grill even though it's not officially an ozone action day. We've had enough salad to choke a cow... Anyone? Anyone?

BTW, my daughter is an awesome student driver and a wonderful addition to the DU community...when she sneaks in here while at PassingFair's house. :)

1. I say go for the grill. I said what the heck and burned my face off
grilling a few sausages. OMG, it was hot even touching the grill(before I turned it on). LoL.

2. Pasta Salad?
Edited on Sun Jul-16-06 04:51 PM by LeftyMom
There's a really great recipe of elad's in the veg group that I recommend or you could try blending (or whizzing in a food processor if you have one) some sundried tomatoes packed in olive oil with a drained can of black olives and a splash of olive oil and then using them to coat some penne or another shaped pasta. It's good with a little french bread.

:bounce:

This is such an exciting time for her! :) Exciting for her and a combination of excitement and worry for you! She'll do fine! :)

I just ordered a grilled cheese and fries from this place nearby work.
I really don't know what to suggest for your dinner. Something cool. Ice cream and a cold beer for dessert sounds really good!

Enjoy!

18. Too true!
I've been doing this thing with vanilla ice cream. I put it in a bowl and liberally dust it with Hershey's chocolate milk powder. We used to it it with malt, but this is just as yummy! I think they call it a "dusty road" at the ice cream parlor. My poor tummy.

Beer is always a good chaser! :)

last night. I was so happily stunned when they built one right down the street from us. :)

23. Culver's is a wonderful fast foodish kind of restaurant...
with the best custard in the world. They are home of the "butter burger" which is exactly what it sounds like. :) And they have the best root beer on earth as well.

http://www.culvers.com/

they are now sweeping the Midwest and I hope they come somewhere near you soon! If not, if you visit, I'll take you there. :D

26. simply put: heaven.
O8) All food is freshly prepared, and the burgers use fresh, not frozen, beef. It's perfect for those of us who are sick of McD's.
