Rather cool helicopter

The AH-56A...something I had totally forgotten about. It's a really intriguing design, mixing a helicopter with an airplane like that.

Rather cool looking, I think!

2. Have ridden in a jet helicopter

and loved it!

While visiting Kauai, went on a tour ride to parts of the island that are just about inaccessible to view without taking a flying tour. The ride was smooth, and I loved every moment of it!

3. HAHAHA
I just asked my uncle (bigger aviation enthusiast than me) what a "Jesus nut" was...I nearly fell over laughing....

You've got a good point!

4. Sure. So cool.
Especially when they add rockets to them and kill innocent civilians.

I'm sorry, was there some other use for them? Oh, yes. Rescue.

Or maybe you are just fascinated with aerodynamics. Me too, I guess.

5. Point taken
I'm aware of the lethal nature of such a machine, and of the unfortunate nature of war (Beirut, the city my family lives in, is on the receiving end of a lot of American-made munitions at this very moment). However, when I look at aircraft I look at aesthetics.

And besides, they never used this one in war-- it was another case of a revolutionary new design being sacrificed because of (take your pick) political expediency, or the contract going to someone else, or what have you. I mean, how many helicopters are there out there that combine elements of a fixed-wing aircarft?
