2. At the time?
It was an attempt to fight stereotypes on both sides. She was a smart, capable, tough female character (by Hollywood standards), thus fighting the "stay at home" stereotype, and yet she was sexy, feminine and voluptious, thus fighting the "feminists are battle axes" stereotype.

Not saying it was a noble gesture. They were trying to appeal to audience demands, not make any social statements.

4. Keyboard, okay
Can't hear the phrase "took the words right out of my mouth" without singing the Meatloaf song in my head.

Thanks!

7. Great keyboard in that song.
Meatloaf's voice has lost a bit, though.

5. I guess
it means a woman can be sexy and smart at the same time. Multi tasking is a good thing. Smart sexy women can multitask.

Whatever. It could just be about the boobs. Mostly in those movies that's really what it is about.

10. It helped me see that girls might not be so icky after all.
Geez, I think I watched that on TV around 1970, and our babysitter let us stay up late to watch it.

11. Raquel was my first mad celebrity crush, and this movie started it all
And I was all of seven years old at the time.

I liked that she was smart and savvy in that movie as well as sensationally beautiful. Any curvy brunette who can repair a laser gun is STILL the hottest in my book.

13. Going by my leaky Memory
In the original version the scene where they are attacked by antibodies wasn't as sexy with Stephen Boyd pulling them suckers off of Donald Pleasance, so they brought in Raquel...I could be wrong...was there a talking bladder in this movie?
