Good Monday Morning, Crew!

Welcome to the Monday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: I hope you had a fantastic weekend filled with fun and relaxation! :woohoo: I worked on Saturday, and it was a busy day, but I had Sunday off and really didn't do ANYTHING except go get a new cell phone. On Saturday our General Manager had a dinner party at her house for two of our associates whose last day was Saturday. Both are music students and are moving to Texas to begin their Masters degree programs! We had a very nice time, and the food her husband cooked was fantastic! :bounce:

Greekspeak and his father are still on their cross country trip! They're both having a really fun time and I talk to him often to see where they are and what's going on. I wish I could have gone with them.

And so today begins another work week. I don't have another day off until Saturday because I have this upcoming weekend off! :woohoo: I'm thinking that these five days are going to go by quickly because the Clearance Sale continues and I'm so busy I don't have time to worry about what time it is! I can't wait!

I was Mister Procrastination yesterday. I got my clothes all sorted and gathered to take over to the laundromat, but I waited and waited, (I really didn't want to go over to that freaking place) until it was TOO late to go. So, I've GOT to go this morning before I have to be to work. x( Else I'm not going to have clothes to wear to work.

So, let's get this day started, my crew! Time to rise and shine!

4. Good morning Clint
I had a wonderful weekend. Saturday we went to the Lake Constance. My dad's grave was tended well (*not to myself - need to call gardener*) and then we went on a ship tour on one part of the lake. My mom's bf gave me his shirt otherwise I would have gotten a BAD sunburn. Thanks R. WE took pics with his digi cam and he promised to email me those pics. Then I can show some to you.

Yesterday we slept in (which wasn't possible Saturday) and then went to the pool in the afternoon. We read, swam and just relaxed. I was more in the shadows than in the sun.

My train was about 10 to 15 min late when I got back and I barely missed my subway so I had to wait another 20 min till the next came x(

All in all I had a wonderful weekend :)

26. Morning MissH
You certainly had a fun filled weekend. So much time at the lake! I'm jealous! I love boat excursions like that. One just has to sit back and relax, someone else does all the hard stuff.

I'm not feeling real well this morning. Have a summer cold with a sore throat. If I didn't have to go into work today, I think I'd just stay home and rest. But I'm hoping to leave early, so that should help.

sorry to hear that you are sick. A cold alone is nasty, but a summer cold should be forbidden

The boat tour was wonderful and at the end we sat on the lake front in one of those beautiful towns and had a great dinner.

Friday after we signed our contract, we went to an outdoor BBQ restaurant for lunch. Just after we sat down, the lady from the builder's office showed up with her bf. So we invited them to join us and she insisted on paying. Well, considering the check we had just written to her, we didn't think $30 was going to break her, so we let her pay.

And the prices were very reasonable. I've wanted to try them ever since we got here, but I didn't want to go alone. My stomach growled the entire time we were at the builder's (the meeting started at 11:00AM, almost lunch time), so I couldn't wait to eat! We'll have to go there when you come. :9

Yep, I'm relieved that we have a contract. They're going to pull the permits this week and start doing things. She said it'll be about 3 weeks before it actually LOOKS like they're doing anything, though. I'm SO excited! Maybe we'll have enough of a driveway to be able to go over and see it when you're here. :bounce: (My car can't make it through the field otherwise -- too many booby traps for a low-riding car.)

PassingFair's daughter hung out with us all weekend. She goes by WannaBePassingFair when she posts here with my daughter, WannaBeGrumpy. We had a lot of fun playing games like Scatergories and 20 Questions. I highly recommend hanging out with well behaved teenagers. It has a way of making you feel young. My daughter also drove (yikes!) me to the grocery store last night, and as we were driving home said,"I love hanging out with you..." Not too shabby, getting that from a 16 year old.

Have a GREAT day!

Yesterday it was really bad, and I didn't get much sleep last night. It's the throat thing that's the worst. I keep wondering though, do I reinfect myself when I brush my teeth? Ever think about that? Well . . . when I'm feeling better, I'd using a new toothbrush, just in case.

It's a hot one again today. Been having record or near record temps the last few days. As much as I like the heat, it was just a tad bit to hot for me.

Ick . . . laudramat this morning. Doesn't sound like much fun.

47. Good Monday Morning to everyone hope..................
....your weekend was great.

My weekend was spent inside avoiding that horrid heat outside. I ventured out of my apartment yesterday evening and could only tolerate about ten minutes or so. The heat and humidity were so oppressive I could hardly breath. We're supposed to get some relief today - and I certainly hope so because right now it is 88 degrees at this time of morning with a 61 percent humidity.

Let's not be nice by letting idiot boy off the hook today.:puke: Remind all those neocons that idiot boy isn't sending a representative to the ME to negotiate a peace as ALL predecessors have done - including Clinton.:applause:

53. Good morning, Clintmax!
:donut: :hi:

Better late than never, I suppose. The kitties let me sleep in a little this morning.

Well, I spent the day doing laundry yesterday. I was distracting myself from worrying about harleydad. He made it back to FL safely and in record time (less than 12 hours)! Now I'm here with the kitties. I haven't heard from harleykid since Friday evening when we had dinner together ... and she usually calls on Sundays. She didn't pick up her phone or return my call either. :scared: I'm hoping she was out having a good time somewhere.

Today is going to be a lazy day. My throat hurts for some reason and I CAN'T be sick! x(

I'm glad Greekspeak and his dad are having such a fun time! Sounds like a lot of people meeting up this week. :bounce:

56. Good Morning, Miss Airmens!
:hi::hug:
You caught me JUST as I was leaving! I'm glad to hear that Mister Harley made it back down here safely! It's a long damned drive though. x( I hope Harley Kid was just out having fun too. It's strange when a day goes by like that and you don't hear.

 Go ahead and do your laundry. I'm glad I got to say hi. :loveya:  I'm sure I'll hear from harleykid today. If I don't, I'll call her husband and see what's up.

67. I'm glad you came in when you did too.
I'm sorry I have to go so quickly here. The earlier I get to that laundry the faster I'll get it done. Less people, dontcha know.

59. Good Morning AirmensMom!

I'm glad he made it there safely! I had a kitten on my lap until just a few minutes ago. She's off to eat. She is the sweetest baby. We got her for my father and she is settling in Quick!

I'm off to the dentist soon, but I wanted to say that it's nice to see you! :)

78. Nope. We're still just listed.
The market has bottomed out here, with about 5 houses just on my street alone on the market. We are reexamining and thinking that if we don't sell by the end of the contract we will buy some land and build a year round get away.

82. That can be discouraging.
Our realtor made it sound like ours was the last house to sell in South FL. The market came to a screeching halt. So we're feeling pretty fortunate.

If you buy the land and build a get away, you can eventually sell when the market picks up again and you'll already have a place to go. I like that idea.

We signed our contract with the builders last Friday, so the show is going to get on the road here soon. I'm pretty comfortable in the rental house, though, and we have some great neighbors. I just wish harleydad could be here all the time.
