 If I see another person putting on makeup while driving at full speed on I-79, I'm going to run him or her off the road. Usually it's a woman, carefully beautifying herself in the visor-mirror while zipping along at 75 mph or so, but if I see a guy doing it, I'll consider him fair game as well.
On the other hand, in my experience men are considerably more likely than women to have some sort of periodical open on the steering wheel while driving, so maybe it's a gender thing.
I hate seeing it at all, but I hate it even more when I see it in my rearview, because I fear getting rear-ended by someone with impeccable mascara or who can't put down the latest Tom Clancy thriller.
Ideally a cellphone and some sort of beverage should also be involved, to maximize driver distraction.
Who decided that this behavior was a good idea?

Everything you have just listed is illegal, a $50 fine, recurring behavior is grounds for loss of license for a year, and if they cause an accident they throw the book at them. If they're in an accident, they're pretty well f*cked as many law enforcement assume they're at fault.

2. Sounds like CT has the right idea |
|
And can we do something about dogs-used-as-airbags?
What's with people who are so attached to their dogs that they can't bear to peel the animal from their lap, even while driving? What do they think a head-on collision, complete with deployed airbag, would do to them and to that 15 pound poodle stradding their thighs?

And it's more likely to happen on the morning commute than on the ride home.
Maybe I'm just missing a primo opportunity to maximize my use of time?

Someone has to avoid all those people eating and talking and shaving and beautifying.
I beg my husband to turn his cellphone off when he leaves in the morning and he ignores me.

he had his wrists on the wheel manipulating the cell phone with both hands. Weaving like a drunk at 3am. This was about 9am.

Much less try to put it on while I was DRIVING the car. I would poke the mascara brush in my eye and go blind.
Idiots...bleh.
