"The Peak"; "The River" -- what are radio stations called where you live?
It seems every city has stations that go by some geographic or locale-specific feature. Anyone have any particularly sillily named (to coin a phrase) radio stations where you live?

mid-80s ... alternative stuff ... I loved that late great station.

9. True, but that's not the kind of music that station plays.
Love that song, though.

8. Radio Free Ohio; The Buzzard
The Air America franchise and the big f.m. rock and roll station respectively. Not far from here is a central nesting site for migrating buzzards and it is a source of local pride.

13. The Pig
:bounce:

Really, though — the thing with radio "names" strikes me as silly, especially when it's stuff like "The Bone" or "The Dude." :eyes:

The Pig's different, though — as its listeners will attest. :D

Bring back cool radio jingles! :bounce:

15. The Bone.
Best name ever.

We've got the Eagle, too, but that's about it for creatively named stations.

20. I'm in St Louis so it should come as no surprise
that there is a station called the Arch. We also have the River (alt rock of some sort) and the Bull (country). I don't listen to corporate radio so those are the only three I know of.
