Are there any bands or artists that NOBODY hates?
I'm trying to think. Johnny Cash, right? Nobody hates Johnny Cash, surely. Neil Young? Probably somebody hates Neil Young. The Stones? Led Zeppelin? Frank Zappa? Marvin Gaye? If you hate Marvin Gaye, there's probably something wrong with you...

Hes cool for country music haters - they make an exception. And then theres folks who ONLY listen to country (like my dad :eyes: ) so he wins them over too.

38. Hmmm... I really don't think it's pop music,
because unlike other artists, she actually has soul behind her music. They probably have my problem. "Oh, it's heavy metal, so I'd hate it and I'm not going to try it" (I do that all the time, and I'm sure people make that assumption about Pink)

40. Pink is good and even came out with an anti-Bush song
Pink - Dear Mr. President Lyrics
(feat. Indigo Girls)

Dear Mr. President
Come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly

What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep
What do you feel when you look in the mirror
Are you proud

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why

Dear Mr. President
Were you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
How can you say
No child is left behind
We're not dumb and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pay the road to hell

What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were
gay
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye

Let me tell you bout hard work
Minimum wage with a baby on the way
Let me tell you bout hard work
Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away
Let me tell you bout hard work
Building a bed out of a cardboard box
Let me tell you bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
You don't know nothing bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
Oh

How do you sleep at night
How do you walk with your head held high
Dear Mr. President
You'd never take a walk with me
Would you

I also love stupid Girls and Get this Party Started

41. How about Tony Bennett? Frank Sinatra?
Or Nat King Cole? Or Natalie Cole?

The thing is, someone is going to dislike any band or singer you could list.
Some won't even know who the band or singer is. I don't know many of the current singers because I don't listen to those music stations. Teens won't know singers from even 20 or 30 yrs ago.

But it's still fun to see people get all emotional because they just can't grasp the idea of someone not liking what they like.

Hey if you like it don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

42. Well, that's kinda why I asked the question.
I wondered if there was one artist on which we could agree. I thought Johnny Cash would be the default, because honestly, after ten years of working in the music business and a lifetime of being a music lover, you are the first person I've ever met who doesn't like him. You are definitely unique. :D
