I have some friends stuck in Beirut.
This really sucks. I wasn't too worried until this morning when I saw Israel had sent troops in. Then I heard the Canadian government had contracted three ships to evacuate Canadians to Cyprus.
I'm a little worried my friend's wife, who's not a Canadian Citizen will not be allowed on the boat or something. Even then, after they leave.... her family is still there. I had some email contact with him, and he's okay... which is good to hear.
Man, of all the timing for her brother to have his wedding...
