To be honest, there isn't a band out there I couldn't find at least 1 song |
|
that I actually like.
There are conditions:
#1) It has to be a band that I've heard of. I'm sure your 9th grade punk band of the mid 80's was going to be the next big thing but unless you happened to be Green Day, I highly doubt it.
#2) Can't be Lee Greenwood - I know I couldn't find anything redeeming about him

LOL...
I dunno if flinging his own waste at the audience is a "hell of a performance" but it's certainly out there.

19. Like I said mainstream. But come on April Wine's "I like to Rock" |
|
I remember listening to that on WTPA out of Harrisburg at top volume while driving my 77' Chevy Impala (and this was in the 80's when I could drive).
Plastmatics are alot like GG Allin where you appreciated the concept.
And as for the other two, I've listend to some David Allen Coe, but not super familiar but not familiar with Kenny G. Mentor

46. Mentor did "Shit Tower". David Coe does disgusedly racist music. |
|
And personally, I didn't like April Wine at all. Same with Triumph. Not that they're bad musicians, but they just didn't do anything that interested me.

5. Okay. What's your (at least) one Steely Dan song? |
|
:P :P
Is it "Reelin' in the Years"? "Dirty Work"? "Do It Again"? "Rikki Don't Lose That Number"? "Kid Charlemagne"? "Deacon Blues"? "Peg"? "Everyone's Gone to the Movies"? "Doctor Wu"? "Hey Nineteen"?

|
I've seen - I saw them back in 2000 and I have all their early stuff on vinyl!

While I can't think of one good goddamn thing about the complete and utter suckfest that is Nickleback, I will personally (and shamefully) admit that Creed's "My Own Prison" and one of their other ones (the Christian-y, living under "One King" song) have kind of a hypnotic effect on me (I leave them on if I come across them on the radio.)
I can't believe I just admitted that. Good grief. :hide:

39. Well you know I can't smile without you |
|
You know I can't smile without you I can't smile without you I can't laugh and I can't sing I'm finding it hard to do anything You see I feel sad when you're sad I feel glad when you're glad If you only knew what I'm going through I just can't smile without you
You came along just like a song And brightened my day Who would have believed that you were part of a dream Now it all seems light years away
And now you know I can't smile without you I can't smile without you I can't laugh and I can't sing I'm finding it hard to do anything You see I feel sad when you're sad I feel glad when you're glad If you only knew what I'm going through I just can't smile
Now some people say happiness takes so very long to find Well, I'm finding it hard leaving your love behind me
And you see I can't smile without you I can't smile without you I can't laugh and I can't sing I'm finding it hard to do anything You see I feel glad when you're glad I feel sad when you're sad If you only knew what I'm going through I just can't smile without you
