Kim Thayil performed with Jello Biafra at the WTO demonstrations in Seattle in 1999.

Jello Biafra was in Lard with Bill Rieflin.

Bill Rieflin did an album with Robert Fripp (and Trey Gunn).

Robert Fripp performed with Mike Keneally on one of the "G3" tours.

I'm pals with Mike Keneally.

3. Me too
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 05:31 PM by Squeech
As the former bassist for Cul de Sac, I should be just bubbling over with connections to exploit.

I did also make a record with Ken Field, saxophonist for Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, who also used to play with Willie "Loco" Alexander's Persistence of Memory Orchestra. (And Willie replaced Lou Reed when the latter left the Velvet Underground. That should help.)

On edit: for bonus points, also connect yourself to XNASA! :hi:

I occasionally work with the head of the instrumental music department at West Chester (PA) University (John Villella). He is friends with Tim Lautzenheiser, who is on the Advisory Council of the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation. Tricia Steel is their programs director, and she used to play with Mike Keneally.

I also have a friend from high school who knows Tricia Steel somehow, but the details of that one are kind of fuzzy.

I play in a band with two guys who were in Beru Ha Ha, the "sequel" of sorts to Beru Revue

Beru Revue opened up for The Hooters

The Hooters (or at least the two primary ones) wrote and played most of Cyndi Lauper's debut album (and continue to work with her sometimes)

Cyndi Lauper and Bruce Springsteen both sang on "We Are The World."

Several options here. Sia Furler has recorded two tracks with Beck.

Roger Manning of Jellyfish played on Beck's Midnite Vultures album. From there, you can take the route listed in the Jellyfish posting.

Alternately, Dave Gregory and Colin Moulding played on the same album. So, you can go:

Furler > Beck > XTC guys > Andy Partridge > Keneally
