I find his lack of manners more offensive, personally.
Now, if the FCC starts fining every outlet that has reported on it, then that would be a big deal.

2. There is none
Unless you consider the "good Christian man" using profanity.

4. I know a lot of Christians who use profanity.
I don't get the big deal. I used to think it was a huge deal, but now I really think it's BS. Unless you're saying GD, it's not an offense punishable by God.

10. The hypocrisy of it amuses me.
He's got the FCC scanning old sports tapes looking for profanity violations while he's off swearing at the G8. The fundies are hero-worshiping the wrong guy. What fools.

FCC combing air tapes for dirty words

By Brooks Boliek

WASHINGTON (Hollywood Reporter) - In its continuing crackdown on on-air profanity, the FCC has requested numerous tapes from broadcasters that might include vulgar remarks from unruly spectators, coaches and athletes at live sporting events, industry sources said.

Tapes requested by the commission include live broadcasts of football games and NASCAR races where the participants or the crowds let loose with an expletive. While commission officials refused to talk about its requests, one broadcast company executive said the commission had asked for 30 tapes of live sports and news programs.

"It looks like they want to end live broadcast TV," said one executive, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity. "We already know that they aren't afraid to go after news."

12. I don't give a shit about him saying 'shit' but
the overall lack of decorum, which includes talking with his mouth full, is what makes me groan. I mean, jeebus, he's at the table with some of the powerful people in the world and he had the table manners of a nine-year-old.

But hey, he's a monkey in a suit, so it's not as if I'm shocked. Especially considering the fact that a family friend that had hired him to sit on the board of directors at a big company described Chimpy's participation as coming in to a board meeting, telling a dirty joke and leaving. The guy finally suggested to the primate that "Maybe this just isn't your thing."
