Monster House-anyone going to watch it? |
|
My six year old is begging to see it but I'm just not sure. A few of the reviews say that it should be for ages 10+ because of intense scary moments. My brother thinks I'm stupid and teaching her to be a wimp.
Anyone heard anything about the movie yet?

but my kid is so chicken about things and takes them to heart way to easy.
We usually have to wait for a movie to come out on dvd. The rule ends up being I have to watch it first and then decide what scenes to fastforward through. (I really wish I were joking.) Otherwise, she'll flip out if something is even remotely scary.

6. Not when you have to deal w/ the nightmares for the next |
|
month. At her age my babysitter had me up watching Creature Feature w/ her every Saturday night, making fun of each scene from whatever B movie was on. My kid would never be able to do that.
I'll wait a couple of weeks and see what everyone has to say.

This may sound silly now, but Bela Lugosi's Dracula scared the bejeebus out of me when I was a kid. Had nightmares for awhile too. But seeing that in the theater was one of my fonder memories.

8. I remember watching Creature from the Black Lagoon |
|
when I was five w/ my babysitter. I was afraid of all forms of water (including the toilet) for a week. Now it's a great memory.

11. I just don't know how my six year old will handle it. |
|
She's touchy about so many things.
Let me know how the movie is. I'd like to know what I'm going into before I take her.

But I'll wait for DVD. The new Pixar flic that's coming out next year promises to be really funny - Ratatouille - about a gourmet rat living in Paris. Trailer is hilarious. http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/ratatouille/hd/http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8111235669135653751
