Bush caught uttering s**t...why I thought born
agains did not cuss...what will that do to the fundie base? Will they begin to see him as the phoney he is? or will they say he is under the stress of being pretzeldent?

Already received his White House talking point for the day:

6. Yeah, If I recall they're all about, "Do as I say and not as I do."
Something like that.

10. I wouldn't hold the RW fundie types to such a high standard but -
they sure as hell feel justified in categorizing everyone else's 'moral' failures. We'd all be a lot better off if they'd just de-bunch their panties once or twice a week. Grumble, grumble, grumble...

7. He was also talking with his mouth full.
But I'm sure all the fundie women will just respond, "Oh shucks, that's just how my Billy Bob eats! Boy howdy, men, they're all the same!"

the population with access to the best education money can buy in this country. WHAT A WASTE!!!

9. Totally.
I can't help but think all the money that's been poured into making him *snicker* into the man he is today, could have been better spent on some more noble endeavor.

12. Most of us curse.
That's a simple fact. While not very professional on Shrub's part, he also should've of been more aware of his surroundings, I don't really think it's too much of a big deal.

What if Kerry did that or Boxer or Edwards or Feingold???
I think the attitude here would be very different if one of our own Washington leaders said what Shrub did today.

13. But, but, but...
Kerry, Boxer, Edwards and Feingold didn't autograph Bibles during the 2004 campaign. You-know-who did (and courted the crazed thumpers 24/7).

Bush signs Bibles on 8/17/04. :puke:

HiYa, btw. ;) :hi:

14. Bible-thumping people curse too.
At least a few that I know do.
:)

I am not supporting Shrub but I don't really know what the big craze over this is all about.
When I was a teenager and I use to go to church, when I went to confession I would confess that I swear. The priest told me it wasn't a sin it was just improper grammar.

Anyway. I am fine. How are ya?

16. Didn't anyone ever tell you 'nice guys finish last'?
;)

You're more generous than I, bwq. I loathe that assh*le and won't miss any opportunity to rant about what a phony vindictive pr*ck he is. (Sometimes I find it very therapeutic! )

Other than *, I'm real good, thanks! A bit out of contact with many DUers but trying to get back into the swing of things again. Nice to bump into you! :pals:

18. Okay.
I'm illogical and unrealistic and * is still a hypocritical POS who autographs Bibles while exploiting 'holier-than-thou' affiliations at the expense of GLBT people everywhere. Fuck him.

Can you tell I'm bitter?

Anyway, it's still nice to see you!

:hi:

Shrub is the world's biggest asshole but it's just funny to read all these comments here.
I know for certain that if Kerry or Boxer or etc.. had said it, a lot of people would be singing a different tune.
At least be consistent. (this is not directed at you but DUers in general).

Let's steer away from this topic, ok.
What else has been new with you?

20. THAT takes a certain amount of chutzpah
to sign a bible doesn't it?

If Clinton had done that the fundies would say he was putting himself on the same level as a diety

21. Chutzpah and a profound disrespect for all things holy.
What can I say? It's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Perhaps the hypocrisy just doesn't get under other people's skin like it does mine.

15. Being on Bush about saying "shit" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
(I can't believe I'm actually about to defend him here, but...)

There's nothing in the bible that says "Though shalt not say 'shit'." It's society that puts a taboo on words like "shit", not religion. Granted religion does much to enforce social taboos by discouraging the use of such words, but it's not against the tenets of the religion to use them.

22. It didn't bother the fundies when Cheney the Dick said "F**K" on the
senate floor, and it didn't bother the fundies when Chimpy called a NYT reporter a 'major-league asshole" and it didn't bother the fundies when Chimpy claimed to have been reading his Bible one morning but couldn't tell you WHAT he read, and it didn't bother the fundies when Chimpy claims that Jesus "changed his heart" while we all know he doesn't HAVE one....

Fundies are all about their 'personal relationship with Jesus' and about dictating behavior to others. They could not possibly care less about their own lack of ethics, honesty, morals, values...

They are totally self-deluded, just like Chimpy is.

And did you see the crude, inbred little bastard gnawing on his chow with his mouth wide open, talking with his yap crammed with food??? Yeah, this little piece of shit is gonna 'restore honor and dignity to the White House..." What a load of shit. He's a pig, he has the manners of a pig, he has the beady little eyes of a pig....too bad he's not as smart as a pig.

What a total fucking embarassment to our nation that little thieving thug is.
