What ever happened to Taking Exams on regular old paper?
Today is one of the shitty est days I've had in a long time. I had been needing to take an exam for the Texas Life and Health Insurance job I had secured two weeks ago. This exam is administered by a company (Thomson Prometric)for the State Of Texas Insurance Board. Any way I spent the last 4 days studying hard, 8 to 10 hours a day for this test which Prometric had scheduled for today at 2pm. I could have taken the test in Austin Tx, which is closer than the test site in Waco but I would have had to wait till the 20th. So upon my arrival at the Waco site I was informed that their main computer had crashed. I was ready for this test, I traveled 85 miles, I paid $65.00 in advance. They just looked at me an Laughed. I was very pissed off said a few choice words an asked them had they ever thought about backing up their computer with paper tests and #2 pencils. I got my answer by the look on their faces. Paper, what are you talking about? I left fuming. Whats happened to the simplest things in life? Are they disappearing forever?
