Fine. I feel a little better but I'm still sad...
recent events really have me down.... and don't worry, other than sulking I'm not going do anything drastic - it's a 48 hour thing. Perhaps I need a break from the internets, what do you think?

1. Taking a break might be a good idea.
Even if it's just for an evening. Watch or read something funny. Get together with a friend and talk about non-political things. Go for a walk. Sometimes even a short break can help lift the spirits.

2. I'm so glad you are feeling better
and understand that you are still sad. It can definitely do a soul good to take a break from the internet and TV, newspapers, etc. Write down some things that you want to do and take a weekend to just do them - avoid media. It can really help.

Yesterday and this evening, I tried it - (except I did DU a little...) anyway - I planted some shrubs, took my nieces to the park, took pictures for a scrap book, went to my cousin's little girl's softball game... wow - I feel so much better than if I had been watching the news. Sometimes things just get too big and overwhelming.

Take care of yourself. Give yourself a break and enjoy the people, animals, etc. around you. I know I can get so wrapped up in the news and current events that I feel guilty for not watching and just enjoying my life. But then, all I have to do is go over to my brother's house and be around my nieces - they can make me smile the second I see them.

5. I've always found music, writing, and then sleep.

Lots of sleep. In that order. Almost always fixes me up. Better advice would be to just think about what makes you happy and work with it though. Hope you feel better :hi:

6. devilgrrl, I am right there with you.
I have been feeling down for the past couple of weeks. Thank God I have my wife and children to keep me from sinking too low.

I was just thinking that I need to stay off of the internets for a few days. Reading about the shit going on in this world makes me feel worse.

7. the internets is one of my favorite things
so taking a break from it would not cheer me up.
Maybe this will help

Just try not to think about the fact that puppies grow up into dogs, who grow old and die.
