Question RE: Flat screen monitor.
Okay, I just am wondering if anyone else has had this problem before I call customer service and wait three hours to be disconnected.

My E-Machines monitor isn't even a month old, and it's on the fritz. Sometimes, and the amount of time it's on doesn't affect it, the colors randomly change, and look like television static with technicolor.

I tried the website troubleshooting, and it didn't work. I emailed them a few days ago, and am awaiting response.

Has anybody else had this problem and fixed it?

1. Is your graphics card completely in its slot?
One time when I took my computer in my car when moving into a new home, my monitor went wacky. Turned out the graphics card was a jostled a little bit loose.

I agree with whoa_nelly, try the monitor on a different computer.

3. As Whoa_Nelly says....It's most likely your video card.
Unfortunately if the Motherboard has a built in card (which I suspect it does) ..You'll have
to change the board.

Can you hook your computer to another Monitor for awhile? (to test it)

5. Yes, but the other monitor is really old, and it looks weird from the
outset.
